Sabel Systems Supporting U.S. Army ePDM Modernization as a Systems Integration Partner for PTC Windchill Deployment

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio – (May 28, 2026) – Sabel Systems announced today its role in supporting the U.S. Army’s Enterprise Product Data Management (ePDM) modernization and transformation initiative as a systems integration partner for their digital engineering environment, including the deployment and sustainment of PTC Windchill. Sabel’s support is delivered under a five-year, $20+ million effort to plan, implement, integrate, and sustain digital engineering products and tools operating within the Army’s ePDM environment.
The Army’s ePDM initiative, formalized through Windchill’s designation as the Army’s enterprise product data management platform, is a key component of the service’s broader digital engineering and digital transformation strategy. This environment is designed to support enterprise workflows, configuration management, and lifecycle management for weapon systems from development through sustainment.
Under the effort, Sabel supports the Army in developing and executing a multi-year roadmap for scaling digital engineering capabilities across the enterprise, including requirements management, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), Modeling & Simulation (M&S), Validation & Verification (V&V), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Artificial Intelligence integration.
Sabel engineers and administrators work directly within the ePDM environment to configure, integrate, secure, and sustain the tool ecosystem inside the Department of War cloud infrastructure, including STIG compliance, patching, upgrades, and operational hardening required for mission systems operating in defense environments.
The work advances the Department of War Digital Engineering Strategy by enabling authoritative sources of truth, integrated digital workflows, enterprise collaboration, and data-driven decision making across acquisition, engineering, logistics, and sustainment communities.
“Enterprise digital engineering requires more than software deployment; it requires integration across mission systems, data environments, engineering workflows, and operational stakeholders. We are proud to support the Army’s ePDM initiative and help enable a scalable digital engineering foundation that accelerates modernization and readiness,” said Shawn N. Purvis, President and CEO of Sabel Systems.
Sabel Systems is a leader in digital engineering, digital twin solutions, and connected digital thread capabilities for the Department of War and federal agencies.
