It began with the premise that Defense and Aerospace stakeholders want best-in-class engineering technologies, not a single-vendor solution. In 2018, under contract with the Air Force Institute of Technology, we assessed practice, identified barriers and enablers, and built a secure, adaptive architecture from leading PLM, MS&A, AI, CAD, CAE, CAM, IIoT, and ALM providers. This became the Digital Engineering Cloud, advancing a 2019 Phase I SBIR to Phases II and III to improve delivery to the warfighter.

Sabel Systems created a sandbox DEC® Foundry for PMA/PWM-101 to aid in its SDR software acquisition pathway. The DEC® Foundry is a cloud-agnostic solution that supports a client’s particular software acquisition pathway. A DEC Foundry enabled DSO capabilities such as: Automated Build Scripts, Unit Testing, Security Testing, Regression Testing, and Delivery staging in an artifact repository for multiple SDR configurations in a change management-controlled solution.
