Learning fast, leading forward

Abby Carroll moves through Sabel with the calm authority of seasoned professional. What began as an entry-level role quickly became a defining seat at the table, earned through instinct, grit, and a talent for translating complexity into clarity.
She arrived in 2022 as a Help Desk analyst in a 100–person company with limited established processes. Within months she traveled to Hill Air Force Base in Utah, supporting customers while helping build the Help Desk structure and setting the foundation for the career she’s now shaping with unmistakable momentum.
Abby transformed the use of the Digital Engineering Cloud (DEC) by designing secure access procedures and personally onboarding every user, a meticulous, human–centered approach that made her indispensable. That foundation propelled her into space support, where she gathered complex requirements for a new environment and embraced the challenge of defining a system that could set a higher standard. As she expanded her technical toolkit and earned her Security+ certification, she moved into an agile consultant role and later added Scrum Master and Release Train Engineer credentials through SAFe.
When Sabel acquired the software and hardware behind nimbusCORE, her long-standing relationships and deep product knowledge made her the natural choice to guide the team through integration. She stepped in as a Leader/Agile Coach and helped unify a high-performing group and ultimately earned a promotion to Platform Product & Operations Manager. Her advice for newcomers is simple and unmistakably her:

“Work hard and don’t be afraid to ask questions. If you’re asking questions, that means you’re learning, and I love people who want to learn,” Abby advised. “Don’t be scared to figure something out on your own and don’t be scared to fail.”
Looking ahead, Abby sees a long runway. She plans to keep bringing order to chaos with her work ethic and commitment to learning that have become part of her identity at Sabel.
Outside the office, you’ll find her in a yoga class, clearing her mind and finding space to breathe.
