Sabel Systems Achieves IL5 and IL6 Authorization for 97Helix™

Authorizations extend the 97Helix™ platform, purpose-built for the DoDI 5000.97 digital engineering mandate, to host information from CUI up through Secret
BEAVERCREEK, Ohio, October 15, 2026 Sabel Systems, a defense tech solutions provider with mission-focused, digital transformation expertise, announced that 97Helix™, its digital engineering platform, has received Impact Level 5 (IL5) and Impact Level 6 (IL6) Authority to Operate (ATO), expanding Sabel’s capability offering to include hosting customers in both unclassified and classified environments. The dual authorization allows 97Helix to host information from the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level up through the Secret classification level. This expands Sabel’s ability to deploy 97Helix into customer-provided environments at any classification level. Few commercial platforms achieve IL6, as the accreditation demands significant technical rigor, security expertise, and sustained operational maturity.
Built to operationalize DoDI 5000.97, 97Helix is not a first-generation product. It synthesizes the proven capabilities behind Sabel’s most successful deployed solutions that have been battle-tested across U.S. Space Force, Army, and Air Force programs. Platform agnostic, it normalizes data so disparate systems work seamlessly together while customers’ existing tools and workflows stay unchanged, giving programs the standards-authoritative foundation to deploy AI with confidence, build credible digital twins, and maintain an unbroken lifecycle digital thread from contract award to fielding.
“Achieving our IL5 and IL6 ATO is a defining milestone for 97Helix and validation of our ability to deliver a secure, mission-ready platform for the Department of War’s most demanding programs,” said Matt Blackmon, Chief Product Officer, Sabel Systems. “We’re proud to own this accreditation end-to-end so that government teams can evolve the platform rapidly to meet their mission needs without the friction of starting over on security. That’s how we deliver decision advantage faster.”
Because Sabel owns both the platform and its security foundation, it can rapidly update 97Helix to meet changing mission requirements without reworking the accreditation baseline. 97Helix is available now across hosted, self-hosted, and hybrid deployment models, supporting commercial cloud, government cloud, and classified enclaves.
“Extending our authorization to IL6 brings trusted digital engineering capability closer to our customers across Space Force, Army, and Air Force and the Defense Industrial Base,” said Shawn Purvis, Chief Executive Officer, Sabel Systems. “Purpose-built to support the DoDI 5000.97 mandate, 97Helix sets a new standard for defense digital engineering as the platform unifies disparate systems data.”
