Challenges

The Minuteman intercontinental
ballistic missile (ICBM) system,
conceived in the late 1950s, was a
groundbreaking advancement during
the Cold War’s nuclear arms race.
Over decades, it evolved through
upgrades and enhancements into
the Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM. As it
remains a key component of the United
States’ nuclear deterrent, effective
management and modernization of its
complex data is critical to its readiness.

Solution

Sabel Systems implemented a tailored
digital engineering solution for the
MMIII, enabling the Air Force Nuclear
Weapons Center to virtually manage
all product-related data. This solution
ensures effective support for the
nuclear deterrent mission of the MMIII
until its eventual replacement by a
next-generation ICBM system. The
digital engineering platform allows the
Air Force to manage this data securely
and efficiently, reducing risks and
ensuring the reliability of the system
throughout its lifecycle.

Key Components of the Solution:

  • Secure and organized product data management
  • Efficient change management and data workflows
  • Enhanced reporting and analytics

Results

The digital engineering environment
provided by Sabel Systems facilitates:

  • Secure and organize capture,
    exchange, and presentation of
    product data.
  • Efficient change management and
    data workflows.
  • Enhanced reporting and analytics
    capabilities.
